Paul J. Hannon, M.D.

Dr. Paul Hannon is a fellowship-trained orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon with a wide range of expertise. Specializing in care for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, he focuses on restoring function and relieving pain to help patients perform daily tasks and get back to doing the things they love.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Florida State University, Dr. Hannon went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He continued his training at the University of South Florida together with the Florida Orthopaedic Institute for his orthopedic surgery residency. Dr. Hannon went on to additional training through a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Dedicated to providing exceptional care, Dr. Hannon offers advanced procedures tailored to improving the routine function of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Using his expertise, he specializes in the following treatments: 

• Nerve decompression for carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome
• Tendon repair and reconstruction
• Nerve repair and reconstruction
• Fracture and trauma surgery of the upper and lower extremity
• Arthritis surgery for the hand, wrist, and elbow
• Reconstructive procedures of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder

• Shoulder replacement

Outside of his practice, Dr. Hannon enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors. He is also an avid supporter of Tampa Bay sports teams.
